Do You Have A Pricelist For Your Web Services?

As we pride ourselves in creating a website unique to you, no two websites are exactly the same and so it is not possible to have a general price list.  It depends on the size of the website, what you want to accomplish through it and what is involved in creating it.
We will quote you a package price which is always better value for money. The package price will make allowance for minor additions and changes without incurring extra fees. Any extra fees will be quoted prior to any additional work taking place, so that you stay in control of your budget.
Programming and database driven projects are billed on an hourly basis with projected cost outlines that are pre-approved by you before the work starts.

What Is CMS / What Is Web Content Management System

A content management system, also known as CMS, is a way for you to easily update the information on your site without having to worry about making changes to the structure of the pages, nor having to worry about any sort of programming. A Content Management System allows you to dip in & out to make small information changes as and when required, thus keeping your site up-to-date easily.

How Long Will It Take To Design My Website?

The amount of time really depends on several factors:

  • The scale and size of the website.
  • The availability and readiness of the materials you are supplying to us such as written content and images if applicable.
  • The amount of custom graphics, graphic design, multimedia work, programming or database work involved, which vary depending on the type of site you have in mind.
  • The clarity of your brief and instructions.

What Is Required To Build My Website?

You need to supply us with the written content. Some of the written content can come from your current promotional material but it may need to be rewritten for a website audience (promotional flyers do not always translate well into an online message).

The other less tangible aspects of website building such as design or layout ideas are handled in the preliminary discussions where you specify any preferred colour schemes and styles of websites that appeal to you. If you already have a logo, we will use it as a starting point so that it integrates well with the overall look of the site.

If you are planning to sell products online (over 30 items) we will require a database of your product line, though one can be set up for you at an additional cost. If you have pictures for each product they will need to be delivered to us either by hard copy or electronically.

What Is Open Source Software And Why Use It?

Open Source Software (OSS) has been created and developed by public collaboration and the source code is made freely available.

Many development companies use a proprietary system created only by a handful of developers for the websites they create. On the other hand, open source software, such as WordPress and Joomla were developed by thousands of talented developers. What would you rather rely on?

Open Source Software encourages software reliability and quality by supporting independent peer review and rapid evolution of source code. A proprietary software cannot compare to open source. Don’t restrict yourself to a single development company because you are stuck using their proprietary software.

Is My Website Secure?

Is the website safe? Yes it is. The website source code only contains the functionality for the website. All database information and server login/password credentials are safely stored on your server where no one can access them.

Can Anyone Change My Website?

No. Open source is publicly available software, but it still needs to be downloaded and individually setup for each website. Your website is driven by your source code that you own. Only individuals that have access to your hosting server can make source code changes to your website.

Multiple Access Levels

Mulitple access levels can be useful to have if people other than yourself will need to logon to your website or blog. For example, whilst you have administrator access, you might want to give someone else a lower and safer level of access, such as ‘author’ , ‘editor’, ‘publisher’ or ‘subscriber’, who have a more limited access to do certain tasks on the site.
This is only available with a Content Management System.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Search engine optimisation is a way to improve the quantity or quality of traffic to a website from search engines with their natural (also called ‘organic’) search results. Typically, the higher a website appears in the search results list, the more people are likely to click on it and so it will receive more visitors. Search Engine Optimisation can target different kinds of searches, such as image searches, local searches, or industry-specific search engines.

Social Network Integration
Social networks are online communities totalling millions of people who share interests, information or activities. Those online communities are great for connecting people but also small organisations without the resources to reach a broader audience with interested and passionate users.
